Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 16 weeks, as of Friday (March 2)
Size of baby: 4.6 inches, 3.5 oz -- an avocado
Maternity Clothes: My mom came to visit this week and we went shopping for some more maternity clothes, I got a few more pants and sort sleeved shirts. Most of it fits kind of big at the moment.. but I know that will be changing soon, ha!
Gender: We will find out on March 20- our apt. got moved up 2 days.. we are very ready to know what baby p is-- then the nursery work begins! :)
Movement: Yes! I started feeling something a few days ago but wasn't sure it was baby. Then it started to happen more often. It is still very soft and I am sure baby is still moving at times when I can't feel it. It is a weird feeling and hard to describe, kind of reminds me of what you would think tickling would feel like from the inside, or butterflies in a way. It's amazing either way!
Sleep: I think every night about 5 minutes after I lay my head down I am OUT. Still waking up twice to use the bathroom but I think I pretty much do that in my sleep.
What I miss: I've read that the need to pee situation gets better for lots of women in the second trimester- not me! Ha, I have always thought I had a ridiculously small bladder. At this point about everytime I stand up I need to go.. and I know this will only get worse in my 3rd trimesters so I can only imagine! I am blessed my classroom is across from the teacher restroom so I can go easily and quickly! My students are already just getting used to this new normal.
Cravings: Chick-Fil-A still always sounds great.. my mom brought it to me on work Thursday, delicious!
Symptoms: The restroom situation, like I said before.. and the usual stuff I have said in the past weeks. My back is hurting a lot in the evenings after work.. I know it's not because of baby so much yet, just from how I move so much at work. I am constantly squatting down to first grade sized tables and then standing up, and this never used to be a problem... now by about 2 pm my back is killing me every day! Oh well, its worth it for this sweet baby!
